Crusader Job Change Guide

This guide is an extended part of the Crusader section.

After achieving at least job 40 as a Swordsman, players can begin the quest to become a Crusader. Journey to inside Prontera Castle, then proceed north twice, and then once west. Talk with "Senior Crusader" to begin the quest.

A rosary must be equipped throughout the entirety of the Crusader quest.

Item Collection

The first part is to gather a number of items. The player is required to collect one of three sets:

  • 10 Lanterns
  • 10 Horrendous Mouths
  • 10 Rotten Bandages
  • 10 Jack 'o Pumpkins
• Set 2
  • 10 Decayed Nail
  • 10 Daenggie
  • 10 Stinky Scale
  • 10 Worn-out Prison Uniform
• Set 3
  • 10 Skel-bone
  • 10 Orc claw
  • 10 Manacle
  • 10 Short Daenggie

This part can be skipped by bringing a Chivalry Emblem and a Hand of God when first speaking with "Senior Crusader".

Endurance Test

After turning in the items, speak with Murnak Mijoul, or "Man in Anguish".

He is in the prison of Prontera Castle, which from the Crusaders' room, is east, south twice, and then the down stairway on the east side. He will tell the player to run a gauntlet of monsters, which include Mandragoras, Floras, Greatest Generals, Familiars without attacking any of them. Endure is needed to succeed.

Written Test

"Man in Anguish" will speak of a Crusader in the Prontera Church for a knowledge test next. She is in the northwest corner of the church's main room.

This Crusader challenges the player with three sets of questions - 8 out of 10 of which must be correct to pass this portion of the quest.

Battle Test

Return to the first Crusader room inside the castle and speak with "Patron Knight" for the final part of the Crusader quest. He will ask for a holy water as well.

The player must then fight through multiple waves of monsters in 4 minutes. The waves are: multiple zombies, multiple soldier skeletons, a mummy and an archer skeleton, and finally a ghoul version of the player. It is not required to kill all the monsters just to survive the gauntlet to pass.

Job Change

Now return to the "Senior Crusader" to become a Crusader!
