This skill consumes one (created with the Create Deadly Poison skill), and enchants a weapon with deadly poison to increase its damage potential. This skill does not change the weapon's attack property. Skill level affects damage increase, duration and SP consumption. There is a chance to cause a more severe version of the poison status effect on enemies as you deal damage with all levels of this skill. This poisoning aspect of the skill does not work against boss protocol monsters, as they are immune to status effects.
Notes
* EDP does NOT change the wielder's Weapon Element to Poison.
* EDP is the signature skill of the Melee Assassin Cross. This skill puts a SinX in good chances with almost any MVP. In PvP or WoE it nearly ensures you will take out your target unless taken out first. In WoE it makes you a complete beast at breaking an emp, as if Sins were not good enough before. Katar, Dagger or even most Skill-based SinX can use this skill alone to take their characters to a whole new level.
* EDP cannot be dispelled by the Sage's skill Dispell.
* The poison effect that can be caused on enemies while this skill is active depletes HP significantly faster than regular poison, but cannot drain a target's HP below 1/4th health (in the red). This poison effect also cannot be cured with Detoxify, Green Herbs, Green Potions, or Panacea.

Overview
Equipment in Ragnarok Online can be 'upgraded' or 'refined' by upgrade NPCs in each major towns to make them more powerful. All equipment has a maximum upgrade level of +10, starting from +0. +0 items do not have any prefixes, but once they are upgraded, the number of upgrade levels will be displayed on the equipment - IE) +5 Stunner.

Also, you can turn in and to create single refined and , which are needed for upgrading Lv. 3 / Lv. 4 weapons, items and armors, respectively.

Upgrade NPC Locations
*Inside Prontera (prt_in) 63,60
Upgrade Requirements
To upgrade equipment, make sure you have the following:

*Equipment
*Money
*Reagent
Reagents and Cost
To upgrade, you need to provide a reagent in order to upgrade your equipment. Reagent required differs depending on weapon level of the equipment. As for armors, they all take same reagent regardless of type.

Refining Rough Oridecons and Eluniums
When you collect 5 and , you can convert it to a single or by talking to an NPC in the upgrade shop. Note that you can make only one pure or each time you talk to the NPC.

Effects Gained
When you successfully upgrade, you gain following effects:

*Weapons
**Weapon Lv. 1 - Every +1 upgrade gives +2 ATK (+3 ATK for every overupgrade).
**Weapon Lv. 2 - Every +1 upgrade gives +3 ATK (+5 ATK for every overupgrade).
**Weapon Lv. 3 - Every +1 upgrade gives +5 ATK (+7 ATK for every overupgrade).
**Weapon Lv. 4 - Every +1 upgrade gives +7 ATK (+13(?) ATK for every overupgrade).

*Armors
**Every +1 upgrade gives +1 (it's actually only 2/3) Equipment DEF (not VIT DEF).

Upgrades are useful, as for weapon upgrade, it reduces damage range between min - max damage (allowing you to do better average damage), it also increases your damage range. For armors, it reduces damage you take by 2/3% per every upgrade level.

Safety Level
Safety Level is maximum level of refinement you can do to an equipment with guaranteed success with 0% chance of failure. Anything past the safety level has chance to fail, and failure means your equipment will be permanently destroyed and gone from the game, including any cards and other enchantments it may have had. You won't be refunded money and the reagent took to upgrade in failed upgrades.

So give it a careful thought if you want to upgrade an equipment beyond its safety level.

*Weapons
**Weapon Lv. 1 - Safety Level +7
**Weapon Lv. 2 - Safety Level +6
**Weapon Lv. 3 - Safety Level +5
**Weapon Lv. 4 - Safety Level +4
*Armors
**All armor types have Safety Level +4

This is a relatively new system instated that allows players to add an additional card slot into select pieces of equipments. They are divided by "ranks", which will require different amount of zeny and items (more expensive stuff will be required the higher the rank of the item you plan to upgrade). Success rates will also depend on the rank; higher rank items will have lower success rates.

When successfully enchanted, item will gain one more slot to insert a card into. However, there are some exceptions. Some items have different effects as a result of successful enchant.

*Inside Prontera (prt_in) 63,60
*Inside Morroc (morocc_in) 73,38
*Payon (payon) 144,173
*Inside Alberta (alberta_in) 29,59
*Basement of Juno Armory (juno) 119, 137
*2nd floor of Einbroch Blacksmith Guild (einbroch) 255, 108
*Basement of Lighthalzen Weapon Shop (lighthalzen) 194, 35

Upgrade Requirements
To upgrade equipment, make sure you have the following:

*Equipment
*Money
*Reagent

Not all item types can be upgraded. Following list shows item types that cannot be upgraded.

*Mid and Low Headgears
*Accessories
*Any items that are not equipments
*Certain armors cannot be upgraded, these usually have such noted in its item description. Most headgear that gives 10% damage reduction against a certain race falls into this catagory.

Reagents and Cost
To upgrade, you need to provide a reagent in order to upgrade your equipment. Reagent required differs depending on weapon level of the equipment. As for armors, they all take same reagent regardless of type.

Money taken also differs depending on weapon level of the weapons.

Following list shows reagent + money required.

*Weapon Lv. 1 - (200 Z from NPC Shop) + 50 Z Fee
*Weapon Lv. 2 - (1,000 Z from NPC Shop) + 200 Z Fee
*All Armor Types - (Monster drop) + 2,000 Z Fee

Refining Rough Oridecons and Eluniums
When successfully enchanted, item will gain one more slot to insert a card into. However, there are some exceptions. Some items have different effects as a result of successful enchant.
Information
* accessories give a chance to cast level 1 Bash on an enemy when doing a physical attack. This Bash also pushes the enemy away 5 tiles.
*Cutlus enables the use of level 5 Bash.
*The Accuracy gained is a percent of your hit rate added to your hit rate. Therefore, if you have a 67% chance of hitting a monster, level 10 Bash will give you a 100% chance of hitting them: ((50% of 67%) + 67%) or (1.5 x 67)%.
*Stun chance inceases with base level.

Strategies
PvM

*Levelling with Bash is a fast way to level up a Swordman, although quite SP-intensive. It adds a lot of damage even to 10-30 STR Swordmen and helps compensate for the lack of hit rate due to being low level. One may want to get it early on if they have the resources to keep up with the high SP cost.
*There are better skills to MvP with rather than Bash.

PvP

*Bash is used in PvP just as it would be in PvM situations.
*Every aspect of Bash can be employed at once or separately: a Knight may use it to deal decent damage to a high- flee character while rendering its opponent useless by taking advantage of the stun chance, whereas a Grand Cross Crusader may wish to use Bash purely to stun victims before using Grand Cross, so the opponent cannot escape.
*Do not waste time attempting to stun high VIT characters with Bash.
